Concept planning and architecture design for International Port Center of South China
ISA Internationales Stadtbauatelier is a multi-national, interdisciplinary group of urban planners, architects and interior designers, with offices in Germany, China, Korea and Chile. Since its foundation in 1979, it has been researching as well as practicing in Europe, Asia and South America. Main emphasis is placed on urban and regional planning, town renewal and urban design guidelines, new towns and new district planning, public space, urban light design, architecture, industrial architecture, interior design and urban ecology. ISA is based on a combined human philosophy by the partners, who see their task in urban planning as placing human beings with their physical, mental and spiritual needs at the center of their work. We are composed of a small group of experts from different cultures who participate in research, teaching and practical experience, and are connected by their love of the city, and all of its urban aspects. These partners represent three different generations and five nations, who combine their different cultures and backgrounds to create a powerful synergy. ISA is an experienced, international “Think and Act Tank” for governments, cities, investors and citizens’ initiatives. It develops customized, original solutions for unorthodox problems and innovative tasks, and combines them with technical quality, scientific traceability and artistic creativity. Today ISA is composed of two academic professionals, Prof. Dr. -Ing. habil. M. Trieb (University of Stuttgart/Germany) and Prof. Dr. -Ing. S. J. Lee (Seoul National University/Korea), sharing the responsibilities with the Partners Dipl. -Ing. Dita Leyh and Dr.-Ing. (Ph.D) M.arch Yajin Zhang and the associate Partners Dipl. -Ing. Ximi Lu and Dr. Dipl.-Ing. Philipp Dechow.
